Diminishing The Darkness By Lifting Up the Marvelous Light Of Jesus Christ
I have written several
articles about putting on the whole armor of God. But sometimes we need to be reminded how vitally important it is
for us to have ALL of the armor
on. Therefore I want to encourage you
to continue to STAND with your
armor securely in place.
Ephesians 6:13 - Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Sometimes when we are in the midst of battle, the ‘heat’ in the natural realm, may get a bit too hot to bear. So we decide not to STAND, but go ‘off down the road’ a bit and by doing so we let down our guard. We think it’s OK to loosen our armor and lay down our weapons and take a breather, all the while gathering our thoughts on what our ‘next course of action’ should be. Well, God doesn’t tell us to try other things, He tells us to STAND on what the Word says to do. God’s weapons are powerful and mighty to the pulling down of all strongholds.
God says that when you have done all: Reading and Believing the Word – this keeps your belt cinched tight. Then acting on the Word by understanding the covenant you have through the helmet of salvation. Keeping on your breastplate of righteousness on – guarding your heart and knowing who you are in Christ Jesus. Walking in the shoes of the gospel of peace (wholeness) – keeping the devil under your feet. Taking up the Sword of the Spirit - speaking the Word out of your mouth and lifting up the Shield of Faith in praises and thanksgiving to God, - quenching all of the fiery darts of the evil one.
The phrase “done all” in Greek means to: fully accomplish; work out; be engaged with and perform absolutely all. And “STAND” in Greek means: to stand against; resist; oppose; continue; covenant and hold up. Standing promotes an upright and active position, staying in position and not letting down our guard or running away.
Lots of folks seem to be going through stuff right now and I want to encourage you to continue to STAND even when you are in the midst of battle, for you already have your victory in Christ Jesus! Tim and I want to thank you for your prayers for and financial support of TGM. Please let us know your needs so we can hold you up in prayer. God loves you and we love you.
