Diminishing The Darkness By Lifting Up the Marvelous Light Of Jesus Christ

This
month I feel led of the Lord to “meddle” or “stick
my nose into” your personal lives. Now
hopefully you know that I love you and that my only desire is to help
you
transition and make the changes necessary to become more like our Lord
King
Jesus.
Where were your children last Sunday? I’m using “children” as in “offspring” which includes your children K through 12 that live under your roof. Where were they? Were they at the church with you? If not, why not? “Oh, Brother Tim, little Dear Heart, said that they didn’t feel like going to church last week.” Who ASKED Them?
On Monday morning, do you ASK, “OK, who FEELS like going to school today?” “Who would rather hang out with friends, go to the mall or go to a ball game?” NO! You tell them to get their tails out of bed, get properly dressed, and get to school! So then, what priority are they being taught that church should have in their lives?
“Well I want them to be able to choose what they believe.” GREAT! Tell me that in a few years when you are praying for them to come back to the Lord. A godless liberal media, anti-Christian officials, activist teachers, liberal schools and the Devil himself are actively helping them “choose” every day of the week!
Prov. 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is older, he will not depart from it.” The Message Bible says, “Point your kids in the right direction -- when they're older they won't become lost.” What that is saying is to teach them, or expose them to the teaching on how to use the Bible as their compass in life, using Jesus as an example.
In Jewish society, (remember, Jesus was a Jew), a child remains a child until age 12 or 13 when they go through a rite of passage to become adults and begin taking on adult responsibilities. (There were no “tweens” or “teens” in Jesus’ day and adolescent behavior was not tolerated.) So the best time to train a child is age birth-12, but there is still hope for the teens and young adults to learn if you regularly expose them to anointed teaching, preaching corporate prayer and worship as long as they are under your roof.
Jesus said, “REPENT” for the Kingdom is here! “Repent” means “change.” Becoming a Christian is predicated on CHANGE! Christian growth requires CHANGE! Just because you “got comfortable” does not mean you are done! When you stand before Jesus, I don’t want Him to ask, “WELL?” I want Him to proclaim, “Well Done!”
